Glamping FAQs
-
What are your check in/check out times?
Glamping guests can arrive from 3-8pm. We don’t offer self check in as we greet all guests on arrival.
Check out for all guests is 11am.
-
Can I bring my dog/cat?
Sorry but we don’t allow pets on the farm.
-
Can I have friends/family over to visit?
Visitors are not allowed on site but we are happy to recommend local places for you to meet up.
-
Can I bring children with me?
Our glamping is adults-only and for 1 or 2 guests. Well-behaved older children (12 and over) are welcome to stay with one parent but there is not room in the units for an extra bed and our insurance would be invalidated by extra or underage guests.
-
Can I bring extra guests with me?
Our glamping units accommodate up to 2 adults so it’s not possible to bring extra guests unless they book another unit or camping pitch in advance. We can add them to your booking before you arrive.
-
Once I've arrived, am I free to explore the farm?
Access for guests is limited to the camping field, the glamping unit they are staying in, and the shared public areas. All other areas of the farm are private - this includes the farm yard, the farmhouse garden and all other fields. There is a public footpath running through the farm so you will see more of the farm this way, but please stick to the signposted path and do not put yourselves in danger by entering the yard or livestock fields.
-
Can I have a firepit or BBQ?
We have both to hire - these are offered as an optional extra when booking (although they are included if you book the Pod). You can bring your own, but we do not allow disposable BBQs and any BBQ/fire must be raised off the ground to protect the grass surface.
You must take your ashes away with you unless you’ve rented from us. Do NOT dump them on the grass and please don’t gather wood from the farm.
-
Do you sell firewood?
Yes we have firewood for sale. It’s best to order when booking in case we run out during your stay.
-
Can I park by my unit?
It is not possible to park by the Pod, which is accessible only on foot, about 2 minutes from the parking space.
You can park within a few metres of the other units but we may ask you to park elsewhere if the ground is particularly wet.
-
Why can't I book the dates/units I want?
There are several reasons you can’t book: we are at capacity; the site is closed to arrivals; there’s a minimum stay for the dates you’re interested in. Please check the key above the availability calendar to see if any of these reasons apply to your dates.
-
Can I change my dates after booking?
We offer free cancellation within 24 hours of booking and within 24 hours of booking we will move your booking for free. All other date changes incur a £10 admin fee unless you are adding extra nights, guests or pitches to your booking.
Please note that there are no refunds if you cancel within 14 days of your arrival date, or for cutting your stay short.
-
Can I charge my EV?
We don’t offer this service but there are plenty of change points in the local area. E-Bike charging is possible but out of courtesy please ask first.
-
Can I fish or swim in the pond/river?
No, this is not possible. They are managed for nature and biodiversity.
-
Do you have Wifi/electric hookup?
We don’t provide wifi, sorry. We offer a greener, low impact glamping experience and a getaway from digital distractions. There is a good 4G/5G signal however depending on your service provider (EE and Vodafone have the best coverage here).
-
Do you offer longer-term stays?
We’re set up for short glamping breaks. As a mainly off-grid site we are not really set up for longer-term stays and we like to have winters off!
