Convenience and privacy
The Showman’s Wagon is parked on a flat grassed area not far from the farmhouse and our Military Trailer, but is sufficiently distanced from both to retain privacy. The height of the wagon means you aren’t overlooked and also gives you great views of the garden and top fields.
Parking is available next to the wagon, ground conditions permitting.
The toilets and shower are about 50 metres away.

Larger than you might expect
The numerous windows and the high mollycroft roof let a lot of light in. Guests often comment that the space is larger than they thought it would be.
A wood burning stove heats the space during the colder months, when we provide the fuel for the first night of your stay. Additional fuel is available to purchase.
A fire pit or BBQ can be rented for use on the lawn.

Kitchen area
The kitchen has a double ring gas hob, and we equipped with a kettle, a small selection of pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils as well as condiments. Tea, coffee and sugar are also provided. You also have use of the larger shared kitchen further down the garden.
If you prefer to eat out, we have two pubs within a 15-20 minute walk and many other options a short drive away.

Where you'll sleep
The sleeping area is cabin bed with a king size foam and sprung mattress. Bedding is provided, with extra covers for the colder months.
Bring your own towels.

Facilities
The wagon is off-grid with lighting coming from a leisure battery which is charged by solar electricity. There is no mains water at the hut but we provide refillable water bottles. We also provide a washing up bowl and liquid, tea towel and drying mat or you can wash up at the shared kitchen.
There are a few board games and books for guests to enjoy.
The toilets and showers are less than a minute’s walk from the wagon.
Outdoor furniture is provided with some solar exterior lighting.

Around the farm
We have a large field at the top of the farm with views over the surrounding area. All our guests are free to roam this field for most of the year. A public footpath runs through the farm with the Grand Union Canal (and a canalside pub) at one end and Rushmere Country Park at the other.
Some areas of the farm are off limits to visitors - we will point these out when you arrive.
